Bust out your kilt and bagpipes — it’s haggis time!
The 27th annual Queen Mary's ScotsFestival & International Highland Games will return on Saturday, February 15 – Sunday, February 16. Experience the rich culture and history of Scotland first hand through an array of authentic activities, athletics, dancing, entertainment, and cuisine, paying homage to the Queen Mary’s Scottish legacy.
Throughout the weekend, guests can witness professional and amateur competitions in piping, drumming, massed bands, darts, Highland dancing, and Highland athletics. This year’s games welcome the highest level of professional Scottish athletes to compete in the all-new North American LightWeight Women’s Championship and returning for the second year, the North American Professional Male Championship. Whisky tasting sessions with aged malt experts are available for adult festivalgoers while the laddies & lassies can bear witness to Queen Mary’s coronation and knighting ceremonies, and even take part in the Wee Highland Games. With falconry, sheep herding, axe-throwing and archery, guests will have culture at every turn!
Marvel as modern competitors face off in ancient feats of strength (hammer throwing!), then sample some whisky and scotch, watch collies herd sheep, and more. Plus, wee lads and lassies can visit the Kids Zone to try their hands at their own Highland Games. Don’t miss this rollicking celebration of all things Scottish!
