He's Back! The Elf on the Shelf Returns

This is our family's third year with our elf and to be honest, I considered not doing the elf this year. Gasp! Can you believe it?

The pressure of having to think of 24 new, fun, exciting, creative, and mischievous ideas and adventures for our elf to do was starting to get to me but then, just like Christmas magic, my oldest sons began talking about all the fun adventures our elf has embarked on the previous two years and I knew I couldn't kill off our little elf.

So with this post, I officially kick off the 2014 Elf on the Shelf at our house. I hope you enjoy the fun we're having, and are inspired to try some of these fun Elf on the Shelf ideas at your house!

Our Elf on the Shelf returned in December with a little note for the kids.

Someone got into a little bit of trouble tonight, and the soldiers bound him and held him hostage.

Our boys dubbed today's elf “Christmas Tree Hiker Elf!”
